Welcome, DWMS 6th Graders and Families!
We are excited to welcome you as Gators for the upcoming school year!
We have two events to help students and families become acclimated to Delta Woods Middle School: Open-House/Curriculum Night for parents and students and 6th Grade Gator Day for 6th-grade students only.
Open-House/Curriculum Night
August 18, 4:30-6:00 p.m.
(Doors open at 4:15 p.m.)
Parent/Student Meeting in the Large Gym at 4:30 p.m.
This evening is an opportunity for students and parents to walk through their schedules, drop off supplies in lockers, and meet teachers. Due to the large number of people attending, we ask that students do not decorate their lockers at this time. Closer to the event, we will share information about how to access student schedules electronically.
Our amazing PTSA will be on site with information and an opportunity to pay for membership, Gator gear, and Walk-a-Thon tickets.
6th Grade Gator Day
August 20, 8:20-11:20 a.m.
(Students may ride their regular bus route or be dropped off and picked up by a parent. Doors will open at 8:15 a.m.)
This student-only event is designed to help 6th graders have a smooth start to the school year. Students will spend time practicing their schedules, opening lockers, meeting their teachers, and learning all about being a DWMS Gator.
This is also a great opportunity for students to practice riding the bus with only 6th graders. If you do not know your bus number or stop, visit the BSSD Transportation website and use Infofinder:
