Halloween Costume Day, 10/28, Rules
  • No inflatables
  • No masks
  • No face paint at school (must be on before entering building)
  • No props
  • If costume disrupts the learning environment, your student will be asked to change.

Olweus | Anti-Bullying
  • Last week, students were presented BSSD’s Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. After participating in a presentation led by their Gator Time teacher, students worked together to come up with ways to be KIND to others. The BSSD believes that all people deserve kindness, and we will treat all people with dignity, respect, and kindness.
  • It is the BSSD’s mission to ensure every student develops the skills and dispositions to thrive in a global community as a productive and collaborative citizen through innovative education distinguished by: a culture of understanding differences and showing kindness.

Cooler Weather
  • Coats must be stored in lockers during the school day. Students may wear coats when entering and exiting the building only.
 
Gator Pickleball Club
  • Starting 11/30/26
  • Monday's 7:15AM-8:05AM 
  • Main Gym at DWMS
  • Open to 6th-8th Graders 
  • Gator Pickleball Club will focus on the introduction of basic fundamental skills. The primary purpose will be to expose students to these skills in a fun and cooperative learning environment. The club consists of instructional moments along with fun and active games.
  • Interested? Parents/Guardians please complete the permission form below for your student to receive more information from our club sponsors.

Scholar Bowl
  • First Practice: 11/12
  • All practices will take place in Mrs. Salisbury's room (708) after school until 5PM unless otherwise notified.
  • Competitions begin 1/12/27.

Theatre
  • Calling all theatre lovers! DWMS Theatre is having our annual Halloween Party on October 24th from 4:00–6:30! 
  • You do not have to be in Into the Woods to attend. 
  • If you love theatre and want to join us for food, games, a lip-sync battle, raffles, and Halloween fun, pick up an invitation and permission slip from Mrs. Currie in Room 301 or the front office. 
  • You must properly sign up in advance to attend. We hope to see our theatre lovers there!
